Sources of highly saline wastewater

1.Highly saline wastewater discharged directly from industrial processes

Generally speaking, the inorganic salts in high-salt wastewater mainly come from production wastewater and domestic sewage (potassium ions, calcium ions, sodium ions, chloride ions, sulfate ions, etc.), and some organic substances contained in it, mainly glycerol and low carbon chain compounds, etc.

It is worth mentioning that most industrial wastewater contains inorganic salt ions, such as potassium, sodium and calcium, in addition to different fields of industrial wastewater containing inorganic salt ions are very different, and even some high salt wastewater also contains some heavy metal elements.

2.Salt water produced by the recycling of industrial production wastewater

For example, iron and steel enterprises, coal chemical industry, petroleum and other industrial industries with large displacement need to recycle most of the water in the production process in order to save energy and reduce emissions. In the process of recycling, a certain concentration of salt water will also be generated.

If this part of concentrated salt water is not treated and discharged again, it will cause great environmental pollution.  After the treatment of different industrial wastewater will produce high content of wastewater, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, chloride ions, carbonate ions and so on.
