Environmental microbial treatment of electroplating wastewater

Product Description:

The most important feature of biological treatment of heavy metal wastewater by electroplating wastewater containing copper is that microorganisms can proliferate continuously during operation, and the amount of metal ions removed by biomass increases with the increase of biological mass.  The biological method has many advantages in application. For example, the comprehensive treatment ability is strong, which can effectively remove harmful metal ions such as copper, hexavalent chromium, nickel, zinc, septa and lead in wastewater.  The treatment method is simple and practical;  Simple process control;  The amount of sludge is small, and the secondary pollution is significantly reduced.

However, biological treatment of heavy metal wastewater has the disadvantages of slow propagation rate and reaction rate of functional bacteria and difficult reuse of treated water.  At present, some microorganisms have been applied in the purification of electroplating wastewater containing copper. Biosorption is to use certain kinds of biota to accumulate heavy metals in wastewater, and biota can be considered as ion exchangers of biosorption.

Microbial organisms belong to different species, such as bacteria, fungi, yeast, algae, etc. These natural, abundant and inexpensive microorganisms can be used as effective biosorbent to selectively remove copper ions from wastewater. There are many reports on the use of microorganisms to remove copper ions.

Although active microbial adsorption capacity and adsorption efficiency is higher than the activity of microorganism, often still choose inactive microorganism, microbial activity is mainly restricted by environmental toxicity, nutrients, growth medium, desorption easy, microbes can reuse, process control, simple organisms to stay for a long time, biosorption quickly.  The research on the treatment of heavy metal wastewater by microorganism has become a hot spot.
