Microbial treatment of food industry wastewater

Wastewater from food, canteen, catering and kitchen is organic wastewater. Biochemical treatment is one of the most important processes in organic wastewater treatment system.  Biological process is the main secondary treatment process, which aims to degrade COD and BOD5.  In the food, canteen, catering, kitchen processing wastewater treatment, biological treatment process can be divided into aerobic process, anaerobic process, stable pond, land treatment and other processes combined to form a variety of combined processes.

Aerobic biological treatment processes are divided into activated sludge process and membrane process according to the growth forms of microorganisms used.  The former includes traditional activated sludge process, stage aeration process, biosorption process, complete mixing process, delayed aeration process, oxidation ditch, intermittent activated sludge process (SBR) and so on.  The latter includes biological filter, tower biological filter, biological turntable, active biological filter, biological contact oxidation method, aerobic fluidized bed, etc.
