What is the difference between sewage and wastewater?

1. In fact, at present in the construction of water supply and drainage pipeline design, the vast majority of waste water confluence. For example, the toilet flushing water, bath water, hand washing water are basically confluence sharing riser, only in the setting of the water reuse system need to distinguish.

2. Domestic waste water refers to the washing water excreted by residents in daily life. In fact, only a small part of the waste water is treated, most of it is untreated directly into rivers and so on.

3. The composition of pollutants in wastewater is extremely complex and diverse. Any treatment method is difficult to achieve the purpose of complete purification, and often several methods are required to compose the treatment system to achieve the requirements of treatment. According to the degree of treatment, the wastewater treatment system can be divided into primary treatment, secondary treatment and advanced treatment.

4. Domestic sewage is the waste water discharged by residents in daily life. It mainly comes from residential buildings and public buildings, such as houses, offices, schools, hospitals, shops, public places and industrial enterprise toilets. The pollutants contained in domestic sewage are mainly organic matter (such as protein, carbohydrate, fat, urea, ammonia nitrogen, etc.) and a large number of pathogenic microorganisms (such as parasitic eggs and enteric viruses, etc.). The organic matter in domestic sewage is very unstable, easy to decay and produce foul odor. Bacteria and pathogens take organic matter in domestic sewage as nutrition and multiply, which can lead to the spread of infectious diseases. Therefore, domestic sewage must be treated before discharge.

5. Industrial wastewater treatment steps are relatively complex, must be based on the water quality and quantity of wastewater, discharge into the acceptance of water or water use to consider, but also consider the wastewater treatment process produced sludge, residue treatment and utilization and may produce secondary pollution, has flocculant recycling and utilization, etc.
