What effect does water treatment agent flocculant have?

Flocculant is generally used in sewage treatment process, flocculant is mainly used as a means to strengthen solid-liquid separation, can be used to strengthen sewage initial precipitation, flotation treatment and secondary precipitation after activated sludge method, but also can be used for sewage treatment or advanced treatment.  Its main function is to destroy the stability of colloid, so that the colloid and fine suspended matter in sewage aggregated into a flocculant with separable characteristics, and then separated to remove the process.

The colloid particles in water are small, and their surface hydration and electrification make them stable. After the flocculant is added to water, it hydrolyzes into charged colloid and its surrounding ions form micelles with double electric layer structure.  The chance and times of collision between colloidal impurity particles and colloidal micelles hydrolyzed by flocculant were improved by means of rapid stirring after drug administration.  Under the action of flocculant, the impurity particles in water first lose stability, and then condense into larger particles, and then precipitate down or float up in the separation facility.
