What method does sewage plant use to deodorize?

Municipal sewage treatment plants in the operation of the stink of fish odor, ammonia odor, rotten meat odor, rotten eggs odor, rotten cabbage odor, fecal odor and some production wastewater special odor.

Causes of smell in water:

Usually the taste of water is divided into four categories: sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and smell (odor) up to eight categories: earthy, musty; (2) Chlorine, ozone, swimming pool; (3) the grass flavor; ④ rotten vegetable smell; ⑤ fruit flavor; ⑥ fishy smell; All landowners ingredients; ⑧ Soap, plastic, oil smell.

Urban sewage treatment plant in the process of operation of the odor treatment methods are direct incineration method, catalyst oxidation method, acid-base cleaning method, odor oxidation method, chemical reaction method, activated carbon physical adsorption method, biological deodorization method, soil deodorization method, etc.

Sewage deodorization technology:

1. Soil deodorization:

1) Principle and characteristics:

Soil deodorization mechanism can be mainly divided into physical adsorption and biological decomposition. Water-soluble odor gases (such as amines, hydrogen sulfide, low fatty acids, etc.) are absorbed and removed by water in the soil, while non-soluble odor is physically adsorbed by the soil surface and then decomposed by microorganisms in the soil.

The characteristics of soil deodorization method are:

1, maintenance and management cost is low, deodorization effect is equivalent to activated carbon;

2. It covers an area of 2.5-3.3m2/m3 gas;

3, not suitable for heavy rain and snow areas, for high temperature, high humidity and water dust and other gases must be pretreated.

2, chemical reaction deodorization:

1) Chlorine deodorization: the mechanism of this method is to use chlorine to remove organic matter in the water and kill algae; On the water body, make it maintain a certain amount of residual chlorine to ensure the effect. Chlorine is added to the inlet pipe network to control the odor.

2) H2O2 control odor: The mechanism of using H2O2 to control odor is that under the pH condition of municipal sewage, H2O2 and H2S react as follows to form elemental sulfur and water: H2O2+H2S------S+2H2O

The actual efficiency of this reaction is restricted by many factors, among which the most important are the effective reaction time and the duration of the reaction. The better time is 5-20min and 1-2h, respectively. The experimental results show that the actual dosage of the drug is close to the theoretical value under good conditions.

The residual H2O2 in sewage will eventually decompose into water and oxygen, instead of forming some harmful substances with the organic matter in it. This can be confirmed by monitoring the dissolved oxygen content in the water, which follows a stoichiometric relationship between the increase in dissolved oxygen in the water and the excess H2O2:1 H2O2 will yield 0.5g of dissolved oxygen.

3. Biological/activated carbon adsorption deodorization:

Working principle and packing selection: biological deodorization principle

Biological deodorization is deodorization by microorganisms on the specific surface area of the carrier filler under suitable conditions. The odor substances are first absorbed by the filler, and then oxidized and decomposed by microorganisms attached to the filler, so as to complete the deodorization process. In order for microorganisms to remain highly active, a good living environment must be created for them, such as appropriate humidity, pH, oxygen content, temperature and nutrient composition. The actual production design requires the relative humidity of the carrier packing to be maintained at 80%-95%, so it is necessary to spray raw water or initial sedimentation tank water often to provide moisture nutrition.
