Do you know the working principle of sewage treatment bacteria?

Sewage treatment bacteria can effectively help us to deal with the bacteria in the sewage, so how does it work?

1. General anaerobic wastewater treatment microorganisms reduce nitrate (using oxygen in nitrate) in the absence of dissolved oxygen in the environment, and perform denitrification reaction to produce nitrogen. This method is widely used in wastewater treatment containing nitrogen.  Acid-producing bacteria (general Anaerobic Microorganisms) are often used in the early acidification reaction of absolute anaerobic microbial wastewater treatment.

2. Absolute anaerobic biological treatment is to use acid-producing bacteria for acidification reaction to decompose sugars or proteins in sewage into monosaccharides, amino acids or low fatty acids (organic acids).  Acetic acid producing bacteria (absolute Anaerobic Microorganisms) will decompose the monosaccharides, amino acids or organic acids in sewage into acetic acid.  Finally, methanogens (absolute anaerobic microorganisms) decompose acetic acid to produce methane.

3. Several sewage treatment microorganisms feed on pollutants, such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats, which can be decomposed by various sewage treatment microorganisms and become nutrients for their own growth and reproduction.  And the use of photosynthetic bacteria and Bacillus, can transform the odor gas hydrogen sulfide into sulfur elements needed for its own growth, and then achieve the purpose of deodorization.

4. The polysaccharides and mucinous substances of microbial wastewater treatment strains themselves can be used to adsorb pollutants in the environment, and this characteristic is often used to adsorb heavy metal ions.

5. After special microbial sewage treatment bacteria into the sewage, will become the dominant bacteria in the environment, can inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria and spoilage bacteria, such as lactic acid bacteria become the dominant bacteria, can inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli in the environment, so as to reduce the production of ammonia and other odor.
