There is something you need to know about Cyanobacteria!

Life characteristics of cyanobacteria:

1, cyanobacteria like high temperature, strong light, more static freshwater water.  Especially when water organic matter is rich, water and bottom eutrophication is easy to produce.  Common species are microcystis, cystis, anabaena, Anabaena and so on.  These algae are nitrogen-fixers, so only cyanobacteria thrive in nitroGEN-deficient environments where other algae cannot live.  

 

2. Cyanobacteria have the growth characteristics of general algae: its life cycle is about 30 days.  The whole life cycle is divided into three growth stages: growth period, peak period and aging period.  

 

3, there are too many algae pond rendering color general for emerald (by cyanobacteria categories of verdigris microcystin algae and indefinite microcystin algae produce) or turquoise (by the fishy algae and cyanobacteria categories oscillatoria), these two kinds of water at the same time, usually around (especially the tuyere) will float with a layer of green membrane, its color is green paint on the sun.

 

Harm of cyanobacteria:  

1. Cyanobacteria will release a large number of toxic substances after death, which is more harmful than living algae;  

 

2. Cyanobacterial growth and reproduction process released certain harmful nitrogen compounds, have the feeling of stinky water;  

 

3. Most cyanobacteria are not easy to be used by shrimp, so shrimp in water with lots of cyanobacteria grow slowly;  

 

3.Cyanobacteria are easy to float on the water surface, inhibiting the reproduction of other algae in the water layer, so the water below the surface is often clear, the water purification function is weak, and the bottom is easy to smell.

 

Prevention of cyanobacteria:   

In the process of cultivation, in order to avoid the occurrence of cyanobacteria, we should start from the following aspects:  

 

1. Clear the pond, biological purification link can not be ignored, because the old pond with cyanobacteria "seeds" sunk in the bottom mud, so to desilting and use Algae Inhibitory Bacteria to decompose.  

 

2. Base fertilizer with careful use of chemical fertilizer, especially less use of phosphorus fertilizer, and with more nitrogen and less phosphorus type of biological organic fertilizer (such as fertilizer pond No. 1) as base fertilizer, such as topdressing, should use stress fertilizer water paste and other amino acid fertilizer, so as to promote the reproduction of other algae, especially beneficial algae.  

 

3. Avoid cyanobacteria-rich water sources.  

 

4. The breeding water level should not be too deep. The wheel type oxygenator is used to increase oxygen at the side of the pool to cultivate diatoms and reduce the reproduction of cyanobacteria.  

 

5. Regular use of microbial agents to improve water quality and substrate, timely decomposition of organic matter, avoid water and substrate eutrophication.  

 

6. When the water is concentrated, the transparency is low and the PH value is too high, the detoxification green water treasure, active water element or photosynthetic bacteria, cyanobacteria catabolin should be used in time to inhibit cyanobacteria and other harmful algae.
